[Macao Smart Home-Based Elderly Care Development Forum]

13 January 2026 marked a milestone for Macao’s seniors—
the Guangdong–Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and Macao’s Social Welfare Bureau jointly released China’s first “Hengqin–Macao Integrated Home and Community Elderly Care Service Standards”.
What does this mean?
Hengqin and Macao share the same elder-care standards and processes
covering smart-care norms such as remote health management and emergency call response
so seniors in Macao or Hengqin can enjoy integrated, high-quality care.
On 6 August, the Macao Smart Home-Based Elderly Care Development Forum brings four speakers to explore how the standards take root and the future of smart ageing in Macao:
